And speaking of fantastic fucking collaborations by Björk, here’s one of my all-time favorites, from any album. LynnFox did a great video for this, the organic nature of their imagery was phenomenal for the time. I never got her expression in this one, though… she seems pleased? I always took this song to be more of a heartache song than a “welp, there goes that!”
Memorex is a 50 minute VJ odyssey sourced from over forty hours of 80’s commercials pulled from warped VHS tapes, a tribute to an entire generation who grew up with only a TV and a VCR for a babysitter.
Reblogging for Epcot, the soundtrack, and Pogo Ball. Will have to watch the remaining 45mins later~
EDIT: Watched it. About halfway through, it got a little slow, but this was awesome!
Bjork: Scatterheart
from Selmasongs [2000]
I was not prepared for the darkness of this movie when I saw it in theaters.
I was also surprised to hear different lyrics during this song, as well. QUITE a different spin on the song, and one of the most memorable moments I have from that viewing.
Don’t have Spotify, but will assume this is the album version, not the radio mix (which goes by about 10 different names, but it’s all the same one used in the video). If it is the original, then I’m glad that one was shared, for it really didn’t get enough attention for being so beautiful.
These were (and still are) my favorite versions:

Fuck, I was just thinking about this song yesterday!
I was listening to a beautiful vocal piece that reminded me of this song on Chill… maybe Spa, one of the two. Then, I heard a version of this song on the radio just now, and I recognized it immediately!
Here’s the version I was thinking of, from The Snowman. Anyone remember this? :D
